What is Calories Burned Data?

Apple Watch tracks two types of energy: Active Energy Burned (calories from movement and exercise) and Basal Energy Burned (resting metabolic rate). Together they give your Total Energy Expenditure.

How to Export Calories Burned Data with HealthSave

1. Download HealthSave

Get HealthSave from the App Store, it's free. No account or sign-up needed.

2. Grant Apple Health Access

When you open HealthSave, grant access to the relevant health metrics in Apple Health. Make sure Calories Burned Data is enabled.

3. View on Dashboard

Your latest data appears on the HealthSave dashboard. With Pro, you can track 7/30/90-day trends.

4. Export to CSV, JSON, or PDF

Go to the Export tab, select Calories Burned Data, choose your date range and format:

  • CSV, opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers
