HealthSave Get on App Store

To export Apple Watch ECG data, HealthSave reads your electrocardiogram results from Apple Health and writes them to CSV or JSON: the classification (Sinus Rhythm, Atrial Fibrillation, and the inconclusive states), the average heart rate, the sampling frequency, the number of voltage measurements, and the recording date and time. It exports the ECG result, not the raw microvolt waveform, which is exactly what you need to track your rhythm history over time.

What you get (and what you don't)

Exported by HealthSaveNot exported
Classification (Sinus Rhythm, Atrial Fibrillation, inconclusive states)Raw microvolt-by-microvolt waveform
Average heart rate for the readingThe drawn ECG strip image
Sampling frequency (Hz) and number of voltage measurementsAny re-interpretation, HealthSave reports Apple's result as-is
Recording date and time

If you need the full clinical waveform PDF of a single ECG, Apple's own Health app can export that one reading. HealthSave's job is the history: every ECG you've ever taken, as structured rows you can sort, filter, and chart.

Why export your ECG history

Export it in 5 steps

  1. Download HealthSave free from the App Store, no account.
  2. Grant Health access, including Electrocardiogram (ECG), when prompted.
  3. Select ECG in the Export tab and pick a date range.

FAQ

Does HealthSave export the raw ECG waveform?

No. HealthSave exports your ECG results, the classification (such as Sinus Rhythm or Atrial Fibrillation), average heart rate, sampling frequency, number of voltage measurements, and the recording date and time. It doesn't export the raw microvolt-by-microvolt waveform.

What ECG classifications can it export?

Whatever Apple recorded: Sinus Rhythm, Atrial Fibrillation, Inconclusive (low or high heart rate, poor reading, or other), Unrecognized, or Not Set. HealthSave reports Apple's classification exactly, it doesn't re-interpret your ECG.

Can I track my AFib history over time?

Yes. Export every ECG you've taken to CSV or JSON and you get a dated log of classifications and average heart rates, useful for spotting how often Atrial Fibrillation appears and for sharing the pattern with a clinician.

Is exporting ECG data free?

Yes. CSV and JSON export are free. PDF reports for your doctor and unlimited history are part of the one-time Pro upgrade.

Can I share my ECG history with my doctor?

Yes. Export a date-ranged PDF with HealthSave Pro, or send the CSV. For the underlying clinical PDF of a single ECG, Apple's Health app can also export that directly.

HealthSave is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. ECG classifications are produced by Apple Watch and Apple's algorithm; HealthSave only reports them. Always consult a qualified clinician about your heart health. The accuracy of any health data depends on your device and its sensors.
