How to Export HRV Data from Apple Watch

What is HRV Data?
Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measures the variation in time between heartbeats in milliseconds (SDNN). Higher HRV generally indicates better cardiovascular fitness and recovery. Apple Watch measures HRV during sleep and rest periods.
How to Export HRV Data with HealthSave
1. Download HealthSave
Get HealthSave from the App Store, it's free. No account or sign-up needed.
2. Grant Apple Health Access
When you open HealthSave, grant access to the relevant health metrics in Apple Health. Make sure HRV Data is enabled.
3. View on Dashboard
Your latest data appears on the HealthSave dashboard. With Pro, you can track 7/30/90-day trends.
4. Export to CSV, JSON, or PDF
Go to the Export tab, select HRV Data, choose your date range and format:
- CSV, opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers
- JSON, structured data for developers and APIs
- PDF, formatted report to share with your doctor (Pro)
